Open-Faced Reuben Sandwich

Ingredients

  • 2 slices rye bread
  • 1/2 lb pastrami, shaved
  • 4oz. sauerkraut, drained
  • 4T Thousand Island dressing
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • Non-stick cooking spray, as needed

Directions

  1. Build the sandwich by layering the dressing, sauerkraut, pastrami, and cheese.
  2. Open the Bravo door and place the Grill/Griddle, Griddle side-up onto the Mesh Rack and slide into position 3. Press ON/OFF to turn on the Bravo. press PRESET the turn the START/PAUSE dial to select Preset 19. Press START/PAUSE to begin preheating to 450 ̊F.
  3. Once the Bravo is preheated, it will beep twice, ready, 10 second countdown, one beep. Open the Bravo door and pull out the Grill/Griddle and spray with non-stick cooking spray and place the sandwiches on the Griddle and then slide the Griddle back into the Bravo. Close the Bravo door to resume cooking 450 ̊F for 4 minutes and the cheese is nice and bubbling.
  4. After the Bravo is finished cooking, it will beep 3 times and display “End”.
  5. When done, carefully remove the sandwich from the Bravo and let it cool for 3 minutes.
  6. Serve and enjoy.
