Ingredients
- 11⁄2c sugar
- 1 can evaporated milk, 5oz.
- 1⁄2c butter
- 2c small marshmallows

1c semi-sweet chocolate pieces

1⁄2c walnuts (optional)
- 1⁄2t vanilla
Directions
- Line an 8x8x2in. baking pan with foil, extending the foil over the edges. Butter the foil then set the pan aside.
- Butter the sides of a medium saucepan. Add the sugar, evaporated milk, and butter and combine.
- Cook on Medium-High (375°F) for 10 min., stirring constantly until the mixture boils.
- Reduce the heat to Medium (275°F) and cook for an additional 6 min., stirring constantly.
Remove the saucepan from the heat.
- Add marshmallows, walnuts (optional), and chocolate. Melt until the mixture is combined.
- Beat by hand for 1 minute.
- Spread the fudge evenly in the prepared baking pan. Cover and chill for 2–3 hrs or until firm.
- When fudge is firm, use foil to lift fudge up and out from pan.
- Cut into squares and serve. Store, tightly covered, in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.
