Ingredients

1T olive oil

1 medium onion, chopped

3 garlic cloves, finely chopped

1½lbs lean ground beef

1 large egg

½c dry bread crumbs
-
1T Worcestershire sauce
-
1T dried Italian seasoning
-
½c ketchup or chili sauce
-
1T Dijon mustard
Directions
In a small skillet, heat oil over Medium-high (375ºF) heat.
Add onion and garlic to the skillet and cook for 3 minutes, or until the onion softens.
In a large bowl, combine beef, egg, bread crumbs, Worcestershire sauce and Italian seasoning. Mix well.
Pack the mixture into 4x8-inch loaf pan.
In a separate small bowl, combine the ketchup and mustard.
Spread the topping over the loaf.
Place the loaf on the 1-inch rack and cook at 350ºF for 55 minutes.
Recipe Note
Tip: If the meat starts to brown too quickly, loosely cover it with foil.
