Ingredients
- 2 T extra-virgin olive oil

½ yellow onion, small dice
- 1 red bell pepper, small dice

2 jalapeño peppers, small dice
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 1 T fresh ginger, minced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced

½ t curry powder
- 2 t cumin, ground
- 2 T garam masala
- 1 t smoked hot paprika
- 1 (15-oz) can tomatoes, crushed

¾ c water
- 1 t honey
- Sea salt
- Cracked black pepper
- 6 hamburger buns
Directions
Set to "sear" and add oil. When hot, add onions, red pepper, and jalapeños. Sauté until onions are soft.
Add ground turkey. Cook until meat is ¾ of the way cooked through. Add ginger, garlic, curry powder, cumin, garam masala, and paprika. Sauté about 1 minute or until spices are fragrant.
- Add tomatoes and pour in water. Simmer 15-20 minutes to allow sauce to thicken and all the flavors to meld together. Add more water as needed.
- Right before serving, add honey and stir to incorporate. Add salt and pepper to taste.
- Spoon meat and some sauce onto toasted hamburger buns. Serve.
