Sauces, jams & condiments
- 1 lb basil leaves
- 2 C extra-virgin olive oil
½ C pine nuts
- 3 cloves garlic
- Sea salt to taste
- Black pepper to taste
- 1 T lemon juice
¼ pecorino Romano cheese, grated
- Place oil, lemon juice, and garlic in blender. Set to 10 and blend for 1 minute.
- Let rest for 10 minutes to develop flavor.
- Add basil, set to 10, and blend for 1-2 minutes until smooth.
- Add nuts and cheese and pulse 6-8 times.
- Refrigerate until ready to serve.
