Unlike stoves that heat the whole area around the cookware, the NuWave PIC Flex generates heat directly in the cookware itself.
Wide Temperature Range
Keep sauces warm at temperatures as low as 100°F, or sear steaks at 500°F all in the same appliance.
When the PIC Flex is cool to the touch, simply wipe the glass top with a damp cloth to remove food. You can even purchase a special glass induction cooktop cleaner that will work with the PIC Flex precision induction cooktop. It’s always important to be sure that the surface is clean before every use, so there is no food buildup as the food cooks on the NuWave PIC Flex.
The NuWave PIC Flex induction cooktop gives you the ability to cook, fry, steam, sauté, slow cook, fondue, and roast food. You may adjust the cooking temperature anywhere from 100°F to 500°F in 10°F increments. The PIC Flex allows you to set a timer, choose stage cooking functions, and select the ideal wattage for your recipe.
The PIC Flex precision induction cooktop is an energy-efficient countertop appliance. The PIC Flex wastes no extra energy heating up the entire surface. Instead, it only heats the cookware. The PIC Flex is small enough to be stored on your kitchen counter, so it’s ready to use for all your meals. When you remove the induction cookware, the NuWave PIC Flex induction hot plate will automatically shut off - also saving energy. You may also select a precise temperature to cook your food.
When you purchase a NuWave PIC Flex, you will receive an entire cookbook filled with precision induction cooktop recipes. Some of the most popular NuWave PIC Flex recipes include Pan Seared Filet Mignon and Mashed Potatoes, Chicken Satay, Meatball Sandwiches, Seafood Paella, Chocolate Caramel Turtles, BLT Salad, Savory Cheesy Grits, and Korean-Style Grilled Flank Steak.
The NuWave PIC Flex induction cooktop pairs perfectly with our lines of non-stick cookware. Both the 9-piece set of stainless steel Pro-Smart Cookware and the Duralon Blue Cookware 12-piece set are excellent for induction cooktops. Each of our induction cookware sets come with a variety of pots, pans, and tempered glass lids.
This is a great addition to the kitchen, it boils water faster than my stove top. I’ve also used it camping. Not sure why I waited this long to purchase it.
still haven't got it
I love cooking on my PIC so much thst I hardly use my gas stove at all. I can't wait for my new one to come.
I've had my pic gold for almost 10 years, in use everyday and still works great.
Smoke is too dark by the start button and could work better mounted -on the front or ,
I like mine. Easy to clean and handy to use.
But temperature control is non-existent. With cast iron, stainless steel, and induction cookware and setting the TEMP to 175F the cookware will spike to 350F or 400F then cool to ~100F and bounce around. I use an infrared thermometer and manually control the temperature.
