Spiced Pear Crisp

Ingredients
- ¼-½ c brown sugar
- ¼ c hazelnuts, ground sliced
- ½ c rolled oats
- ½ c all-purpose flour
- ½ t cinnamon, ground
- ⅛ t cardamom, ground
- Pinch sea salt
- 5 T unsalted butter, cold
- 8- to 10-small pears, cored, thinly sliced
- 2T pure maple syrup
- ¼c cranberries, dried
- 1t cinnamon, ground
- ⅛ t cardamom, ground
- ⅛ t allspice
Directions
- Place brown sugar, ground hazlenuts, oats, flour, cinnamon, cardamom, and salt in a medium bowl. Mix well. Cut in cold butter until pea-sized crumbles are formed. Refrigerate until ready to use.
- Preheat oven to 360°F. Place all ingredients for the filling in a 9 x 9-inch baking dish and toss well.
- Evenly top filling with brown sugar nut mixture. Bake for 25- to 35-minutes, or until filling is bubbly and topping is browned. Rest the crisp on a cooling rack for 10 minutes before serving.
